The third and last Winery protagonist of RADICI’s “Roman Food&Wine Night” will be “Merumalia”, located in “Castelli Romani” Lazio’s Wine Region, precisely, in the province of Frascati.

Imagine a green expanse that winds on a gentle hill overlooking the Frascati DOCG vineyards, the hills of olive groves of the Castelli Romani and the ancient Lake Regillo, a landscape with an agricultural vocation a few kilometers from the capital. When you visit Merumalia Wine Resort, come to know a family estate with a big heart. They are proud of the past of this area, but they live immersed in the present, combining the best of tradition with the advantages of technological innovation. Merumalia was born from the will of the Fusco Family to share the Estate and its fruits.
The Fusco Family is passionately involved in the production of wines from autochthonous grapes of Frascati, oil from Castelli Romani’s typical varieties and hospitality in a farmhouse that is now centenary.
Sustainability
The philosophy that inspires them is closely linked to terroir: the principle is that wines must be the unique expression of their soil, climate and work done in the vineyard, and that the vineyard must be worked according to the principles of sustainability and as such bequeathed to future generations.
The wines are distinguished by character, elegance and strong personality, combined with high professionalism of realisation. The climatic conditions and the composition of the soil where the vineyards are born allow to obtain very mineral, savoury and persistent wines both fresh and fruity whites, as well as herbaceous and soft reds.
They have always been involved in preserving the landscape of this volcanic territory near Rome, rich in ancient Roman agricultural history and long tradition of Frascati wine. The respect for their land, so rich and always dedicated to the production of wine and oil, guides their research to achieve full ecological, environmental and energy sustainability. Fusco family also express their love for this area in their hospitality offer and experiential tourism.
Merumalia products are all certified BIO, that is, obtained without the use of synthetic pesticides, pesticides and herbicides, substances that would otherwise be absorbed by plants and would remain in the soil for a long time.

With an antique golden color, it smells of dried apricot and dates with a warm and spicy balsamic note in the background. Full and warm has a soft finish with amber and mentholated. Perfect for after dinner on the couch.
